FABRIC and PAPER ART FROM MY HEART

Out in the Prairie where the wildflowers grow and the song of the birds like melody flows, there's a peace God bestows that brings joy to the soul...

New little Altered book

A new Altered book I'm working on using fabric, old wallpaper and lace. The title of the book is still undecided, maybe Eye-Word Candy? long way to go yet but it's fun. It has been a while since I made one.

Christmas again

Christmas with my Birthdaughter and 2 wonderful Granddaughters. Jacki & Jessica on either side of me and my Daughter Dori on the far right. Just awesome, I'm so thankful to have them in our lives. Time just goes to fast. Love and hugs to them all.

From kcwillis ( Check this out)

This has been an amazing year at KC Willis Studio. Wow. 170 students from 8 countries currently enrolled at the on-line workshop where I teach the basics of my techniques and inspire you to new creative heights. www.collagecamp.ning.com. You have never seen anything like Collage Camp.

After Collage Camp there's Mixed Media Mania where you take what you learned at Collage Camp and in these workshops I teach Altars and Shrines, Altered Books and Works on Paper. Fun stuff. www.mixedmediamania.ning.com.

And for those of you already making art and wanting to know how you take it to the next level and get yourself a regional or national audience, next week starts the super exciting Marketing Mindset. www.marketingmindset.ning.com. Check out the Main Page and take advantage of the Intro Price which will only last until January 8th.

And if video workshops aren't your thing...how about KC Willis Live! (assuming I've had my coffee.) Come take a multi-day class with me in my very sweet Victorian studio house in Longmont, Colorado. Check it out at www.studioretreats.ning.com.

So there you have it. Your friends and followers will thank you. And I will too...I'm sending you a Guardian Angel so you start off the new decade resting in the shade of angel wings.

Happy New Year!

Adorable little Birds

You can't say I don't have a thing for birds? I found these at a cool online shop and the last one I found in Elkhart Lake in a cute little shop, I just had to have them.  I guess you could say "I'm Bird Brained for Birds" OK that's corney.

cozy and soft throw

I received this lovely blanket throw in the mail yesterday from my sweet sister Mary. She lives in Seattle, WA and I don't get to see her much. We have only known each other for a few years, It's so awesome that I found her and another sister also, She lives closer by. Besides finding my Birthmother who lives in Arizona, God works in the most wonderful ways. Thanks Mary

Hope everyones week is going good.

Hugs and smiles, Carol Mae

A few new art items

A few new items I made as small gifts/ornaments for the girls in our family, also I love birds and just had to have these two. Also a candle I covered with sheet music and a Christmas tree. Had fun making these.

Call of the wild

Our Grandson loves wild life especially a wolf, so for Christmas I did a collage for him. He loves art and unique items, so I hoping this makes the mark?

Little Snowmen and Santa's

These little snowmen and Santa's I made about 13 years ago, I gave so many away, that this is all I have left. Maybe next year I'll make some more and try them on Etsy.
This little tree I put together is standing right behind the "little people" as my daughter calls them.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Adorable little Phoebe

My Daughter came over yesterday with her Little Dog "Phoebe" . She loves to sit by the patio windows and sleep "so Cute". We get to watch her next week while our daughter vacations in Jamacia. Lucky her!! But she'll be home in time for our Christmas eve with all our Children and Grandchildren. So looking forward to that.
Don't you just love all the young ones faces when they open their presents?

A good old Fashioned Bizzard

A good old fashioned Bizzard!! that's whats going on here in east central Wisconsin(Love it) just makes me want to bake christmas cookies and decorate the house. And maybe a nice pot of homemade soup. Two lovely Morning Doves perched on our deck(Ah so sweet they are)

I think we have about 12 inches already and it's only half way done.

Here's a neat poem I found in an old Ideal's Magazine. Although we have a fake tree now with the  kids all grown, it still brings back precious memories.
