Postcard Exchange (This sounds like fun)

GREAT FINDS AND A POCKET JOURNAL

Took a few days off to do some more thrifting and catch up on some art work. The first picture is a

Pocket Journal I made, which will go in my Etsy Shop, loved how it turned out.

Second is a very nice Purse/overnight bag I found at our local Market Street Days. The lady does such great work and uses mostly vintage fabric.

 Third is a highschool Autograph book from the 1930's (They use the phrase FORGET-ME-NOT quite often, I just love old stuff like this.

And last is this cool white Enamel Pitcher for only $3.00.

A snowy day here again in Wisconsin, but very pretty big flakes.

A LITTLE THRIFTING TODAY

Did a little thrifting today and found a neat white & red Enamel Wall holder, I can see all sorts of neat things tucked inside it, But it dosen't match my kitchen so it's going in my Etsy Shop.

Also found this Beautiful gold wired ribbon-30 yards of it and it's in new condition, and there's 2 rolls of it WOW!!! It's also going in my Etsy shop.

It was a fun outing today, could have shopped a lot longer, but my dear husband was along.

PAPER PRAIRIE ART DOLL

I was playing in my Studio today and came up with this Prairie Paper Doll. It has a real dress I made with brown twine hair and cloth hat. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH HER??? Put her in a frame? Hang her up? HELP!!!! Any idea's out there from your creative minds?  I think she needs shoes but then what?  Maybe just put her away and say I made one once Ha Ha!!

He Rocks!!!

Jeff Dunham, cool!!! We had a great time last night. We met our son and his girlfriend at the Bradly Center in downtown Milwaukee last night for this great show. Too Funny!!! Was really nice to get out and enjoy something different. Good weekend wishes to all, Carol mae

A man's art piece

WOW!!! A clock done by my husband. These are the folk's that get together to do maple syruping in the spring at our friends Sugar Shack. They have been making syrup for a lot of years.

These friends get together several times during the season and tap trees, cut wood and just have a great time. This piece of wood was cut just for doing this clock. It turned out really cool. Way to go Hubby!!!

Happy Wednesday Friends

The top collage is done by a sheer accident, It started out that I spilled some pink paint and just spread it on this old book cover and set it aside for a valentine's collage. WELL!!! Low and behold to me it ended up like this?? have no idea where that thought came from, but it turned out to be favorite piece. I guess you just never know whats going to inspire a person till you pick up that paint brush.

The second collage was done on purpose. It turned out really soft looking and so lovely for Valentine's day.

A DEAR FRIEND

I can't believe how wonderful this blogging world has become for me. I have so many new friends out there that are just so sweet and thoughtful.

One friend that I want to send a special thank you to is KYMBERLY  She has sent me so many lovely Silhouettes to use in my art work.  She did the art work above and sent me a copy. I can't thank her enough.

Also she lives near the Smoky Mt's which is so beautiful and I plan on vacationing out there soon.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a small visit with her. Can you believe it!!!! what a wonderful world this can be.

Shoppe Disabled

I'm sorry to say I have closed my Olde Prairie Shoppe for the time being. I may start up a new one this spring. Thanks to all who have visited my Shoppe. May the future bring new beginings for me. I still have my Etsy shop and loving it.

WOW!!! Feeling much better now, thanks to some dear blogging friends and a treasure hunt around town. LOOK WHAT I FOUND some really neat items in our little town, I especially love the bird cupboard-so many ideas in my head.

DID YOU EVER FEEL YOUR ART'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH?

Well, I guess I need a wake up call of somekind? My art projects just don't seem to move on Etsy or my own shoppe. I will go out to local shops today and see if I can light a spark anywhere. Or am I just feeling down? Whatever the problem is I need to snap out of it. I love doing art works of all kinds and so what to share my art, besides giving it all away. NOW I GUESS I NEED A KICK IN THE REAR!! Ha Ha. Ok, I've unloaded enough.

It is a good day and I must be thankful for everything. A few prayers are in order here.

A short getaway

Got a little burned out over Christmas and New Years so we took a little Trip to a Casino. Didn't win much, but sure had fun trying and the food was great. Back home now and got my Studio in order, which feels really good.

New Shoppe Item

Great sunday morning to everyone, a sunny crisp day here in Wisconsin, at least the sun is out.

 We get to spend our Sunday morning without water!! A water main broke and they said our water would be off about 4 hours. At least we were told ahead of time, so it makes it much easier to deal with. Here's a new item for my Shoppe, It turned out really cute.

Valentine Fever

The urge to do Valentine Art hit me. This Valentine wreath turned out nice. The little wall hanging will fit in a nice little corner. Will be listing these on Etsy soon.

We are getting hit with another winter storm, this time they are predicting 7-11 inches of new snow.

Maybe thats why I hiding out in my Studio "ha Ha". Winter white is so pretty though.

My New shoppe is up and running (I hope??Been having some trouble with the buy now Paypal button) Hope it works now.

 Please let me know if it is not working for any of you.  I will eventually have many vintage items for sale and some items made by me.

Any suggestions or idea's are always  very welcome. With Valentines Day coming up, I 'm concentrating on some new art.

Creating new Shoppe

I've been away for a few days trying to set up my own shoppe, I think I have it almost finished. Just have to check a few things with Paypal to make sure it's going to work.

This is a little trial and error for me as I'm not a computer geek.

I should have my Shoppe up and working by later today.
