A year off!!! Love creating again

I just had to do more creating, after a year off and concentrating on Ebay sales, I missed my Art work Terribly.

So now I'm creating for friends and Family and of course myself. Here's a fabric book I created for my GrandDaughter. She's a second year college student and plays on the Golf college team. It's a small book showing that she can do anything she put her heart into, as these ladies have done. Hope she like's it. So much fun to make.

I love Fabric Art and want to learn more!! Especially using all kinds of lace and old photos.

Well!!! it's been over a month since I last posted anything.

Ebay is doing great for me again, Although I miss doing Art projects, which I will work on again in the near future.

I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!!

I finally finished my Fabric Art Book. It's all about Pioneer women. I love the way it turned out, this ones going to be hard to give up.

I do believe I will start another one with a different topic. This one was so much fun to do and I'm sure my second one will go a bit faster, now that I know what I'm doing.

This is my 201 post. I can't believe it.

Christmas on my Mind

Some new Christmas art work, now for sale in my Etsy shop. I set up at what, I was told was a craft show??? this past Wednesday Well!!!!!It was not...It was a Christmas High end fair with over the top dresses, purses,and gems. I felt really dumb, but did manage to sell a few items. Next time I do all the arranging and don't count on someone else..LESSON LEARNED!!!!.

Enough of that.

We are getting a winter storm watch for tonight, hopefully not too much snow.

A beautiful Monday morning here in Wisconsin. The hot and humid weather has left us, and a nice beautiful day is in store for us.(Thank goodness)

Here's a new Art piece I made over the last week, A assemblage piece that was interesting to make, I kinda like it!! It's a little different. I put it on Etsy this morning-so we will see how it goes.

New puppy sure is testing my patience, so far she can't understand english!!!!lol Oh how I wish. But she sure is a cutie pie.

I'm finally starting to get back to my Art work and Blogging. A new puppy is almost a 24 hour job!!!

Little Maggie is doing pretty good (She's got me almost trained) Yeesh!!!!!

Another new piece of Fabric Art in the form of a shadow box Guardian Angel which sits on a dresser or shelf. It will be new to my Etsy Shop today.

It is so hot and humid here in WI and the skeeters's are horrible, I almost got carried away last night.

I MUST BE CRAZY!!!

Ok I know I'm in for it!! I just had to have another dog. Our last dog we had to put down 2 Christmas's ago. This is our first non-shedding dog, She's only 11 weeks old and we named her Maggie. Oh MAN I forgot how much time it takes to house train a puppy, yike's. I hope I make it through this, or my daughter may have a new puppy. But she is so sweet and dosen't bark a lot. And oh so soft and loveable. Time will tell!!

Playing with Fabric Art collages

I'm still playing with different forms of Fabric Art. This one is made with 3 different size book covers and fabric's. This is my Grandmother and Grandfather dated around the 1940's. I will start doing custom orders in different sizes featuring peoples ansestors or favorite pets. These will be made in a choice of solid Fabric Art Collages to book cover collages and book shadow type collages. All will be in their choice of main colors. Prices will very from $45.00 up to $150.00 depending on the amount of fabric and size.

First Fabric Art piece Completed

Well!!!here it is. My first Fabric Art piece I made from KC Willis's Collage Camp DVD set. I want to thank KC so much for her wonderful instructions. I loved making it and can now see how I can improve on the next one.

This one measures 16 by 21 inches. As for comming up with my own quote??? well that's another story, have to work on that.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

A happy Memorial Day Sweet friends and family. Just had to take a few pictures of my small flower garden, I just love these blue flowers. I may have to find a place to plant some more.

Sunday we spent a couple hours at the Cedarburg Maxwell Street Days, A large flea Market, it was so crowded and quit warm. I did manage to find a really neat bird mounted on an old candle stick, just love it.

And I had to pick up this strange piece of bird art made from acorns, twigs,driftwood and Milkweed pods. What a different thing, I still not sure why I bought it?? maybe because it was only $3.00. What ever?

It is a conversation piece. HA HA!!!

Keeping our thoughts with all the brave soldiers who fought to keep us free.

A beautiful day here in Wisconsin, a really good time to work in my flower garden, of course after I do a little thrifting in the area. Lots of rummage sales going on. A treasure hunting we will go!!!

A town-wide Rumage sale in the rain this morning, now thats being a die-hard. Found these awesome French books for only a dollar. And some lace & sewing notions, also a box of parts and pieces for Assembly Art.

'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

All the busy hours of getting art projects done for the local Craft Barn is done. Yahoo!!

Now I can play and make things for Etsy and a few gifts.

These are 2 sets of stamped note cards for a birthday gift and one for Etsy.

The postcard is for an exchange I joined and didn't have one, so I made one, Hope she likes it.

I joined a Zumba Dance/excersize class this week!!Mistake!! way to fast pace for little old me. I went straight to bed when I got home. Maybe next Monday I'll try not to keep up.

2 New Journals for the craft store, A Paris themed one and A prayer journal. These were both fun to make. I'm just about done with all the things that I'm putting in the Country Crafts Barn this spring. Just a few more greeting Cards to make and I'm done. whew!!!

Now I can concentrate on Etsy and my Flower Garden. Just can hardly wait to get my hands in the soil.

Spent the last few days making magnets for the Country Craft Barn here in the Plymouth area, Not sure what kind of price to put on these? but would like them cheap enough so they move. We shall see, this is a new endeavor! maybe the last "ha ha".

MARKET STREET DAYS(Cool Stuff)

I was amazed at the white shabby chic and /enamelware I found this weekend. I really like the candle holder with the bird, so tempted to keep it, but no more wall space? guess I need a bigger house, or add a room? lol.

The love of paper wreaths, I made a couple of these a few years back for a few friends, never knowing I would someday have an online Shoppe on Etsy much less a Blog, I couldn't believe it when I saw Lana's in her shop. So I emailed Lana to see if she minded if I would put mine up in my Etsy shop. We have different kinds and themes so it was fine with her.

I thank her so much for her understanding and I hope we both do well with these. Thank you Lana.

GREAT FINDS AND A POCKET JOURNAL

Took a few days off to do some more thrifting and catch up on some art work. The first picture is a

Pocket Journal I made, which will go in my Etsy Shop, loved how it turned out.

Second is a very nice Purse/overnight bag I found at our local Market Street Days. The lady does such great work and uses mostly vintage fabric.

Third is a highschool Autograph book from the 1930's (They use the phrase FORGET-ME-NOT quite often, I just love old stuff like this.

And last is this cool white Enamel Pitcher for only $3.00.

A snowy day here again in Wisconsin, but very pretty big flakes.

A LITTLE THRIFTING TODAY

Did a little thrifting today and found a neat white & red Enamel Wall holder, I can see all sorts of neat things tucked inside it, But it dosen't match my kitchen so it's going in my Etsy Shop.

Also found this Beautiful gold wired ribbon-30 yards of it and it's in new condition, and there's 2 rolls of it WOW!!! It's also going in my Etsy shop.

It was a fun outing today, could have shopped a lot longer, but my dear husband was along.

I was playing in my Studio today and came up with this Prairie Paper Doll. It has a real dress I made with brown twine hair and cloth hat. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH HER??? Put her in a frame? Hang her up? HELP!!!! Any idea's out there from your creative minds? I think she needs shoes but then what? Maybe just put her away and say I made one once Ha Ha!!

A man's art piece

WOW!!! A clock done by my husband. These are the folk's that get together to do maple syruping in the spring at our friends Sugar Shack. They have been making syrup for a lot of years.

These friends get together several times during the season and tap trees, cut wood and just have a great time. This piece of wood was cut just for doing this clock. It turned out really cool. Way to go Hubby!!!

The top collage is done by a sheer accident, It started out that I spilled some pink paint and just spread it on this old book cover and set it aside for a valentine's collage. WELL!!! Low and behold to me it ended up like this?? have no idea where that thought came from, but it turned out to be favorite piece. I guess you just never know whats going to inspire a person till you pick up that paint brush.

The second collage was done on purpose. It turned out really soft looking and so lovely for Valentine's day.

I can't believe how wonderful this blogging world has become for me. I have so many new friends out there that are just so sweet and thoughtful.

One friend that I want to send a special thank you to is KYMBERLY She has sent me so many lovely Silhouettes to use in my art work. She did the art work above and sent me a copy. I can't thank her enough.

Also she lives near the Smoky Mt's which is so beautiful and I plan on vacationing out there soon.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a small visit with her. Can you believe it!!!! what a wonderful world this can be.
